I think I have a lot to offer. I’m fun-loving, optimistic, and try to see the good in others. My priority is to be a good man and not disappoint God. I've been told that I can be a bit of a contradiction, but in a uniquely good way. For example, I am a beer drinking Christian who sometimes (not so much anymore) forgets there is a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Also, it's impossible to place me into a certain category or group. My element is both a lecture hall and an oyster roast, or a tailgate party, camping... Yes, I'm from the South, meaning I have an allergic reaction to muscle shirts and hair gel. Politically, I've become more of a Libertarian or Jeffersonian Constitutionalist (I kinda made that up). Admittedly, I am also a bit corny and lighthearted by nature, as well as a natural caregiver who always looks out for the well-being of others.
I've never been called boring. In fact, I may be the most interesting person you have ever met. I have been a combat soldier, history teacher, writer, back porch philosopher, Calypso poet, and a tour guide. Side note: I can tell you amazing stories about Charleston’s history. One of my favorite things to do is discover hidden places around the Lowcountry. Even if things don’t work out, you’ll never get bored around me.
Oh, I was raised by a strong Southern woman and both admire and respect intelligence and independence. Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who can keep up with me intellectually. I would much rather spend my life with someone sporting a ‘mom-bod’ that gets me rather than a size 0 that I have to explain jokes to.
