I am not looking to play games, so I am laying my cards on the table.
I hate to lead with this, but it is such a polarizing topic that I must get it out in the open. I am against all things related to the recent Covid scam and subsequent tyranny. I only wore a mask when I absolutely had no choice. I don't think much of those who wore then out of fear or obedience to unlawful mandates. I most certainly did not subject myself or my children to the experimental jab. Please swipe right on by me now if you disagree. This is a deal-breaker. Don’t waste your time and mine.
I am a widowed father of six children, and they all still live at home. My marriage of 23 years had a lot of ups and downs, but mostly we were just roommates for the past 12 years. No physical relationship at all. We were exploring divorce when my wife suddenly passed. It was devastating to me. A rocky marriage that may have ended in divorce is quite different from losing someone to an unexpected death. My kids lost their mom – the most important person in the world to them. We are all sad and angry about it. We are making our way through one day at a time.
My kids will always come first in my life. They only have me now. They have no mom, so I will always be there for them. That doesn’t leave me much time to date. Any potential match must understand this about me. I want someone with kids of her own so that she has the same responsibilities. I want a woman in my life, but I am a father first and foremost.
I’m a math-and-science guy. I have degrees in nuclear engineer and I teach algebra on the side. I like to live my life by making logical decisions, but that does not mean I don’t have emotions. I am a very emotional person. I am very dedicated and would love to be passionate with the right woman. I crave a physical relationship, but I’m not looking for a hookup. Let’s see where it goes if the spark is there.
One fun activity I really enjoy is singing karaoke. Led Zeppelin is my favorite music to sing, but I’ll do other classic rock bands like Queen and The Who. I’ve even been known to sing What’s Up by 4 Non Blonds followed by Motorhead’s Ace of Spades. Tell me there is anyone else who could do those back-to-back. It is the singing I like…not so much the bar scene, but karaoke is pretty much only available at bars. I drink beer in moderation. I love a dark Porter.
I used to watch the Chicago Bears religiously, but I just haven’t been able to get into the NFL very much in recent years. I like the Blackhawks also, but don’t really have time to watch them. I like baseball but find it too boring to watch on TV. I wouldn’t mind going to a game. I enjoy my kids’ little league and iceless hockey games.
I like nature, such as the beach or mountains. I like to walk or ride my bike. The last several family vacations consisted of us renting an oversized van and traveling to places like Yellowstone, the Ozarks, Smokey Mountains, etc.
I am looking for a woman who shares my interests. Someone who is kind, fun, and adventurous. Someone who values her children and understands the commitment that I have as a widowed father to my children. Someone who doesn’t smoke or use drugs to numb her feelings. Someone who is a good listener and wants to get to know me. I want to get to know you. I am looking for a woman who I can love and she will love me back. We will lift each other up and support each other.
