Intelligent, Ex soldier, easy going, strong mature character, ethical and romantic. We could let a lot of things get in the way of happiness but we don't, we appreciate life and others. We're bright and optimistic; low maintenance - we've crawled over life's hard ground and made it to where the grass grows cool sweet and green. It took a little doing but we found what a good life requires. I'm pretty much happy doing anything, in the moment feet first; there's a lot of space inside a moment if you know how to find it.
While finding a friend would be nice, feeling romance pulsing through me once more would be grand. I know how to be a good friend and a supportive, giving lover.
I did not answer the relationship status check boxes because while they have boxes for Single, Divorced, etc. there are none for having lost your partner except 'widowed' and I find the term too dark and weird. Anyway, who ever you are, we're not kids anymore, maybe we could just cut to the chase while the sun is shining?
If we are, in your opinion, not living close enough I'll do the driving, traveling, etc. It goes back to a rule I've always had with regard to meeting someone; a woman's drive should be a comfortable 15 minute drive to home at night or bad weather, 20 if the sun is shining. It's all about safety for the women. Most happy to see you safe and home.

My idea of fun is collecting micro organisms. I have actually trained one to wake me in the morning. If I could get him to leave his jar I'd be able to hear him a lot better.
