I love adventuring to new places and finding new experiences. I'm good with an itinerary but I also enjoy meandering wherever the heart leads. I laugh at just about everything, continuously.

I am unapologetically masculine but attentive and affectionate and playful. I consider myself to be a gentleman beast. I'm down to earth, an old bullrider cowboy and cop, blue collar all the way, without pretense, but I am fearless in all social settings. I can't be bought or sold at any price. I've yet to find a wit I can't match. I will dance on Main Street without being even slightly concerned about who is watching.

A lot of people feel compelled to declare their pristine independence, their lack of need for a partner. I am not one of them. I find a good woman's company to be soothing and civilizing, a sustaining energy that centers me and brings out the best in me. Without this presence I am bereft of my truest self. Ah, but of course she must be the right one. After a long period of celibacy I am seeking a kindred spirit to once again share the road.

I am drawn to true vulnerability and a gentle heart, with no affinity for volatile or selfish personalities. I am honest and loyal and unencumbered by insecurity or ego. I have no interest in takers or power brokers or tourists. I could care less about your pocketbook and I am not the slightest bit intimidated by beautiful women, though I do admit I find they can often be rather shallow. Not always, but often. A good smile and a genuine laugh and a playful spirit will lure me in. You will have to like a man who growls poetry and loves to fetch coffee in the morning. I sing to my flowers and call them my senoritas. Your rivals for my attention.

I have put on a rather enormous amount of weight the last few years, a product of celibacy and voracious appetites. I'm on the way down and intend to be healthy before long. I am all for hikes and adventures and a healthy life style, but people who are all about working out all the time are just not my thing. I need my mind to be involved, too. Antique shops and museums and history tours and art shops are my kind of thing.

My politics are simple. I believe in individual freedom as an unalienable right. I am deeply devoted to the concept of impartial justice and I am a purveyor of truth. As a lifelong public safety professional, I am deeply devoted to emergency services people, especially military veterans and law enforcement. My loyalty to them is absolute. I'm exactly the wrong man for anybody who judges heroes harshly. I am an old Cold Warrior. I find Marxism to be dismal and dysfunctional and dreary.

I am a Christian, though not at all rigid in my faith. I have a profound interest in Judaic history and tradition, and a real affinity for many aspects of Hinduism and Paganism. I believe in saying grace and giving service and offering thanks to God.
