I Would Describe Myself As

Describe myself? I am not someone who easily fits into “boxes.” I feel as comfortable in a suit as an old, stained pair of Carhartts. I like the ballet as much as sitting around a fire drinking bourbon. I exercise almost daily but I’m no gym rat. I do it to keep in some sort of shape but I don’t “love” it. It is just necessary. I like a fine restaurant as much as a great dive. I don’t do drama so if you like drama watch a soap opera. I do love to read and I read a lot of different things. I read the Bible and books on theology, I read good books on leadership and about anything to do with nature. I read fiction too. My favorite authors are Box, Sanford, and Deaver. I do something that resembles yoga but I’m trying.

I have two teenagers living at home. I work a lot and have a lot of business travel so my free time is cherished. If I were to date someone seriously they would have to appreciate that I had commitments before I met them.

What am I looking for? I’m not sure. I don’t yearn for a serious relationship but I’m way past the “hookup”. I like intelligent, professional women. I like a woman who can wear hiking boots and high heels all on the same day. A sense of humor is mandatory. If your dream is to live in the city and be surrounded by people and large crowds then I’m probably not your guy. I’m not against a serious relationship. I’m just saying that it’s not a goal. Someone to go out with would be nice. Go to a museum, the ballet, dinner or just build a fire and relax. I’m not a big crowd sorta guy. Not saying I won’t; just saying it’s not my favorite thing.

Heights are not my thing so if you want to bungee jump off Mt Everest or go skydiving then I will watch you and have dinner with you later if you survive.

I’d like to travel more. I’ve been to England, Germany, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Mexico, Costa Rica and Canada (if that counts). I’d like to do Italy, Greece, Ireland, Scotland and Spain to name a few.
