To me life is really to short and we were designed to be relational creatures so desiring to do life with someone is a natural built in emotion we want fulfilled.

However....at my age I have concluded that I would rather be alone than be with the wrong person but then coupling that notion with the reality there is also no such thing as the right and perfect person you are only left with one alternative.

That is meeting someone you determined in your heart, mind and soul is totally worth it. Placing extreme value on another person is what I feel God intended. You just have to be willing to spend enough time with a person to answer that question.
