Optimistic, positive, retired widower with deep local roots in Carmel(6 generations if you count my grandkids) . I love it here and plan to stay. I have good friends and family here.
Not that it matters nowadays, but history has proven me to be a happy monogamist. My first wife left because I hated the all consuming demands of practicing law and quit. I wanted more time for us. I had already learned to earn an honest living fixing up several rental properties. (not to flip but to keep.)
My late wife and I were together for 41 years, 39 married. Our sons are great fathers and husbands, as were my father and grandfather.
I am an old fashion guy but I enjoy good, long discussions with people of most viewpoints. However I think that if I want to meet a lady of like mind it may be necessary to import one.
If you would like to share beach walks ,ocean front dinners, sunsets, sunrises, a decent wine, scenic road trips, etc. I know some pretty good places. I would love to share your favorites.
We should also take on the difficult and never ending task of discovering new beautiful places and things to do. As they say... "somebody's got to do it".
Covid has caused the cancelation of my exercise group and the closing of the gym I had joined. Excuses, excuses. I need to get back in shape.
