I Would Describe Myself As
I love sunsets, roses, and walking on the beach with th..... oh wait, am I suppose to tell the truth here? I wasn't sure, because it seems like 95% of folks like the beach and camping, and I've been to the beach and there aren't that many of you there. Same with camping.
The truth is I am 63 years old, retired, and finding myself separated after ...um...well, lets just say "a lot" of years.
And just to answer those red flags that are popping up out there, it was a very amicable separation, we do not hate each other, and should we end up on a date I won't say things like "Oh, you like drinking water... my ex wife used to enjoy water."
This is a whole new world for me, and I'm not sure exactly what I am looking for. I'm not looking to find the next love of my life but if that happened that would be great. I'm also not just interested in a booty call. Yes, I said booty call, I am old.
While I don't want to give you a list of my "ideal date" (that was even creepy in my day - and yes, I said "in my day", again, I'm old), the two characteristics I'm most insistent on is that she has a positive outlook on life, and B) she has a good sense of humor, especially if that humor is a little risque and unsafe. Not looking for someone who swears like a sailor and finds nothing offensive, just someone without a stick up their butt.
I love music, concerts, and pretty much all performing arts. I'm open to all kinds of different music genres, but my heart really belongs to the groups of the 70's. I also like country, jazz, alternative, bluegrass and classical. Not too into much of today's music, although there is some good stuff out there. Just not Justin Bieber or Cardi B.. Another indication of my age, I actually think Justin Bieber is still relevant. This is the result of being a girl dad.
Love just about any play, from Broadway to Civic Center to local playhouse.
I enjoy all forms of sports, live or in front of the TV. I have just recently taken up bicycling to help me get back in better shape, and I like shopping, farmer's markets, and finding treasures in small quaint towns. Most of all, I love cuddling up on a couch and watching a movie or binging a TV series with someone special. I appreciate the power of human touch.
I enjoy spending time with friends (and making new ones) and spending time with family, especially my Grandson and Granddaughter.
Beyond that, I am starting a new chapter in my life and I want to be open to trying new things.

Well, I guess worse case would involve the date evolving into a multi-state robbery spree ending in an epic and heartbreaking leap off of a cliff, but lets focus on the friend thing first.
