My ideal qualities in a partner are strength, intelligence, independence, adventure, and passion. With a willingness to laugh at funny and inappropriate things and most important - eager to engage in good conversation. And it’s ok if you’re a little weird, who isn't? I have been divorced for about 10 years and was separated for a year before that. Raised my son as a single Dad for most of that time. In reality, I’ve always been a single Dad. He’s an adult now and does his own thing. It’s time for me to start doing mine.
I enjoy expedition-style kayak camping (almost completed the Connecticut river), hiking, backpacking, and any other outdoor activities that include a campfire; even if the activity is just sitting around a campfire with friends. Live music, game nights, and quiet nights-in can be great. I’m flexible and find the time spent is more valuable than the activity itself.
If we match, I’d rather speak or meet early on. Texting and chatting are fine, but you need a personal connection to really communicate.
