Me describiría a mi mismo como
I am looking for a mutually fulfilling, fun relationship with long-term potential.
After grad school, I moved here to join an exceptional technology company when both founders were in their prime and fully engaged in creating one of Silicon Valley’s great cultures. Next, I used the experience gained to work for several startups. I was then fortunate to have the opportunity to work for and learn from one of the first west coast venture capitalists. I found that I enjoyed working with and hopefully helping entrepreneurs, so my college roommate and I started our own venture capital firm. It takes patience and perseverance, but I enjoy our business immensely. Like others, we are selective in our investments, so we believe we are backing some of the best teams in the world. Our entrepreneurs are not shooting for singles, but for grand slam home runs – they are trying to change the world! I can’t think of a better cause than supporting and backing them.
I enjoy many activities including golf, sports in general, music, dancing, movies, and learning about science, business, history, and human nature among other things. In the last several years with the help of my personal trainer, I have made major efforts in exercise and nutrition. Near daily cardio, frequent strength training, and much-improved nutrition have made a real difference. For me, exercise helps to process stress and generate optimism and creativity, which can lead to solving problems.
I recently took on an officer role with the local alumni club of my alma mater and have met some great people as many are drawn to in-person events post-Covid. There is no shortage of additional opportunities I would like to address in the future!
My divorce was final in 2013 and my sons are grown and taking on challenges of their own, as I hoped they would. Of course, I am very proud of them and I am very pleased to have a great relationship with all of them.! At this point they want me to have fun and enjoy life as I have encouraged them to do.
I look forward to meeting for coffee or a glass of wine to see if there is mutual chemistry.
